55-59 Large Rear Window Conversion

Has anyone converted their small rear window cab to the new large window conversion that is now out. Goodmark has the large window rear cab and Brothers said they have them. However, Dynacorn(the manufacture) says they are not out yet. Tuckers in Las Vagas said they have sold new small window rear cabs. If anyone has done this, I would appreciate any tips. Thanks Tom

The window coversions are out but Dynacorn's is not out yet. There are several stampers some make the same parts as the rest. Dynacorn makes some that no one else makes and vice versa. To my knowledge no one has a 55-59 cab out yet. Dynacorn most likely will be the one to do it.

Thanks for the info, I called 'Goodmark" this morning and they have them in stock at $399.00. I have an extra big window cab that needs cab corners, but I thought this might be a good way to go. (Outside of the 500 spot welds that need to be removed. Tom

Did you replace the whole rear cab panel or splice in the window?

Re: 55-59 Large Rear Window Conversion

I am in the process of replacing the rear panel on my '58. I am not doing a conversion, just replacing rust. My panel was very rusty above the rear window area. I picked up a rear panel at Goodmark Industries in Lawrenceville GA on Friday. I have partially installed it but am going to need a little help getting it tacked in. It is a pretty nice piece. Has some minor distortion here and there but I was damn happy to get it. I am also replacing the roof. Apparantly this truck had many years of "condensation" and leaking around the drip rail. I cool thing about replacing the top is I can put dynamat in all those can't get to places!!

Re: 55-59 Large Rear Window Conversion

If someone is doing a conversion, wouldn't they need the interior pieces that interface with the rear window? I have never compared the regular window and the bbw cabs but it looks like the inner pieces are different and probably hard to find.

Re: 55-59 Large Rear Window Conversion

There is a BBW section that has been removed from the truck for sale on ebay today if anyone is interested. I would have loved to have found this before I replaced the entire panel.
