Re: rear springs done.
Thanks I cranked down the torsion bars about 4 inches up front, and the
rear coils ( off of a jeep thanks to zeliterusmc's tip) droped it about 3", but the rear coil assist hd shocks lifted it a bit. Still has a slight rake. Chief the Schol is Casell , your typical east side school!!! |

Re: rear springs done.
How do you adjust torsion bars?

Re: rear springs done.
Do it on level ground . The first thing
is to soak them with PB blaster. Jack up the truck, this will remove the tension off of them. Then just lossen them by turning them counter clock wise. Loosen them up the same amount to keep it level. I mesured both sides before and after to assure it was level. It is real easy Thanks John!! Too funny . |

Re: rear springs done.
It lowers the front by changing the spring rate to a softer setting. Just like putting the softer (smaller dia.) coils out back.

Re: rear springs done.
So if I took 1 full coil off the front already would it be safe to mess with a torsion bar adjustment? I dont want it all out of wack, but I would like 1 more inch of drop.
Does anyone have a how to on this? |

Re: rear springs done.
If you cut your coils then you don't have torsion bars. Torsion bars are 60-62 only.
