Question sending unit adjustment in new tank???

okay, just bought a new fuel tank and sending unit from LMC...got it all installed...put ten gallons of fuel in there and it only goes up to 1/8 to a 1/4 of a tank...I know these tanks aren't that big...so whats the deal?? do you have to set the float?? I know my gauge works well because while I had it out I hooked it up and played with the sending unit and it worked flawlessly...I just think it is to high...what do you guys think?? Has anyone run into this before??...I know I order the right unit...It just puzzles me...maybe I need to bend the float slightly down to get it to register better....I just don't know. Thanks

i will be your Huckleberry
that was a great movie

did you try filling the tank up yet?

fuel tanks are goofy. you should be able to bend the rod to get it to register half way. if it's half full..

hope you get it figured out..

no gas smell in the truck now?
