Hey im "new" here.....

Hey guys. Ive been on this board for a while now with my 66 c10, but recently, i bought 72 c10 long fleet, a pretty godd deal for what i got. I paid 6300 and its almost rust free and very solid. Theres a minor leak on the motor, apparently the main seal, but it keeps pressure well, just need to add oil every once and a while. Its got a 350 linked to a Turbo 350 tranny, i have no idea what the reare end is. Coils all the way around, with dual exhaust. The PO bought it from a guy and claims that the motor was new out of the crate only 5000 miles ago. I dont really believe it, but im not the best at identifying that. They also installed a underbed gas tank, but they put the filler neck int he rear passangers side wheel well. A little odd and its sorta a pain to fill, but the 30 gal tanks keeps the fill ups far apart. Its my daily driver, got to school everyday. Im not sure if owning 2 trucks at 17 is good or bad, but at least if i need some money, i have somethin to sell. Look at the pics and tell me what ya think. Sry for the long post, thanks guys....

Welcome from the Pacific Northwest! Looks like a solid truck. What's that air cleaner from?

Re: Hey im "new" here.....

What year is that front clip? I know it isn't a '72, because I have a 72.
Is that an auto floor shifter? I agree that is an awkward spot for the filler cap. I think it is great that you can have 2 cool trucks at 17. I would rather see that than a Japanese coupe with a coffee can tailpipe any day!

Re: Hey im "new" here.....

Im not too sure where the air cleaners from, but i do know that the PO just flipped over the top cover so that there is now a gap. The front clip is a 69, i guess the guy before the PO put it on. I like the 72's better, but im really short on money, and then id have to get the newer bumper as well. Yes, thats an auto shifter, B&M, installed by the PO. Has a nice "bump" shift feature to go from 1 to 2 to 3.
