Question ? Question for my nephew's truck (BRAKES)

For those of you that don't already know. My nephew has a 68 short fleet he is restoreing for his first vehical. I just picked up another lwb 72 with 5 bolt power disc's. I m going to give him the complete suspension from this truck as I do not need it. His is 6 lug drum all around.

Question: Mainly about the front. Rear end is pretty straight forward. What is the bet way to do this front end swap? My plans are to swap complete front crossmember. Do you think this is the best way to do the conversion or not? We have the wrenching experience just not the knowlege on these trucks.

Any tips and/or technical advice will be greatly appreciated.

yup change the complete set up

that way the ball joints are correct and all the steering linkage is correct

just keep a note in the glove box for the year of the front end parts.. maybe write it in black marker on the glove box door

dont use a black marker if the glovebox door is black// you'll also be better off with the 72 proportioning valve and master and booster

Thanks guys. Thats what I was thinking. Just wanted to make sure that they didn't change the frames between years, so it should be a direct swap then right. BTW cdowns so far the glove box door is seafoam green or medium green not sure exacly on the code but if he paints it black I'm kinda partial to those new silver sharpi's And we are gonna swap all complete master and proportioning valve and such as his truck is manual drum.
