What did you get done? 4/01/07

I went on a 500 mile trip to buy a new truck bed for the 71 shortbed and started disassembling it to be blasted, primed, and painted

Re: What did you get done? 4/01/07

I was on the road this weekend, but maybe I can get some stuff going on the truck again. The wife is finally back from here 3 months of training, so I should be able to get some shop time now.

Re: What did you get done? 4/01/07

Spent yesterday and today repairing rockers and cab corners. Sanded the whole truck. Next up, spraying some epoxy, probably in 2 weeks. It's not easy doing the body work and painting on a truck I drive everyday for work.

Re: What did you get done? 4/01/07

Friday, actually got the truck out of hybernation. Saturday, did some much needed garage organizing so the truck could go back in and be able to be walked around while in there . Also went and looked at and had given to me another 72 lwb 2wd truck with alot of good sheet metal that as you can see that I so badly neeeeed. Sunday, today was my now 8 year old boy's B-day so it belonged to him. Next phase disassembly, going to make it feel naked for awhile, going to the frame rails hopefully by the end of next weekend. Look for a new build thread in the near future. RJ22

Just had my fourth back surgery on 3/28/07 so have been out of commission, but monday is rocker panel removal day on my 68. It'll be slow go but seems any improvement is good therapy for me.

Re: What did you get done? 4/01/07

Got my 1967 out Friday night. Had the windshield and back glass installed on Saturday, (man, did I see the trick!) then I dinked around on it the rest of the day. Then got a call from my 1948 dad Saturday night, who said he needed help moving my 1922 grandma to her new apartment, so I put the 1967 away, and today my 1969 back is a little sore!

Re: What did you get done? 4/01/07

I drove 150 miles in my 71 Chevy 4x4 and traded it for a 72 Chevy 2wd and then drove it back home. It was like trading a log truck for a cadillac. I'm much happier now , the 2wd is in better shape than the 4x4 was in also so it needs less work (money). I'll try to post some picks in the next couple days.

I took the family to the mountains, but the whole time I thought about a schedule for gettin-r-dun. The 1st picture was yesterday. The others are some 30-year-old pictures of my truck that I found this weekend. I am +looking for more.

Well I got some more lights up in the shop and then started on Low Buck. I installed the hidden hitch, C-Notched the frame and started on the 25gal blazer tank install. See Low buck truck build for pic's!
