Re: Blazer Rear Seat Bolt Size

I think I need either a 3/4 or 11/16 socket to remove/tighten the four bolts that hold down the seat brakets. The front bolts are shorter than the back. The center two in the back that only hold seat belts (some have 4 brackets across the back, some only have two) are seat belt bolts with the long shoulder so the belt can rotate freely.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Re: Blazer Rear Seat Bolt Size

What year. I have mine out of my 73 right now and could measure. But I think they changed in mid 70's...

Re: Blazer Rear Seat Bolt Size

Back when I had my '69 I asked the same question and got less response than this. For some reason, nobody knows the answer... Maybe I will end up as the keeper of the rear seat bolt size

Re: Blazer Rear Seat Bolt Size

Its weird how nobody knows this answer! With alot of people here on this site owning Blazers, I just thought that somebody will know the answer right away when asking these???. Well, so far no luck!!!!!

Luis.

I have this, will look tomorrow, I have them all labeled in bagies because I
replaced everything with SS since "GQ" pretty much has it everywhere.

Re: Blazer Rear Seat Bolt Size

I was working of the Blazer today any how, so I pulled a rear seat bolt to answer this question. It measures as a 1/2 inch NC thread. I am going to be taking the rear seat out soon to switch to a new third row version, so I now have one less bolt to pull out when I start that project.

Re: Blazer Rear Seat Bolt Size

I had my rear seat out this weekend. Front bolts are 5/8" fine thread, Rear are 1/2" course thread. My K5 is a 72. Hope that helps.
