Re: My 72 k5

Looks sweet.

Any more pics of it? Hows the interior?

What's the story behind it?

Did you buy it this way, how long have you had it now?

Is that original paint?

Re: My 72 k5

I bought it either 1 or 2 years ago, can't remember. It is really clean, no rust thru anywhere. There is some bubbles coming up in the paint in a few spots, overall really good condition. The outer grille has a few dings and scratches, the inner has a few busted bars, and a hack glue job repair. There is a dent from a soccer ball on rear quarter. The previous owner bought from guy in out west a year before I bought it. That is where the pic came from (2 or 3 years old). The guy I bought from drove it to detroit, put his motor in it (the one it came with ran but leaked). He paid $1000 to go thru both the tranny and transfer case. His motor then blew so he sold to me. I paid $6200 with out the motor and tranny installed. He pulled his motor and I paid $300 less because he didn't install the original motor back in. I plan to strip blazer down, media blast body on rotisserie, change color to prolly orange or red, replace or repair all metal, new NOS grille, strip all badgeing but k5 one, full cage, autometer guages, dana 60 front, 14 bolt rear, detroit lockers in both, 6 inch lift, high crossover steering, race buckets with race bench in back (all mounted to custom cage), line- x'd interior, new softtop (come on STC!), not sure on what motor yet. Possibly a 462 smallblock (600+ hp) either a 350 or 400 turbo and a B&M floor shifter. Whew that was long!

Re: My 72 k5

How do I resize photos? I have current ones, but they are over the limit to post them here.

Hopefully I want find to much damage after blasting. Hard to tell as this has been repainted. I really wish they made fiberglass tubs for these.

Luba, I think there is a post in the faq section that can help you learn to resize photos. There are a few freeware programs that can do it automatically too.

Re: My 72 k5

I don't know if this works on your computer or not but the way I do it is as follows: 1. right click on your picture, when the little box pops up, at the very bottom it says 'send image by email'-click on that. 2. the next screen gives you an option to resize it. resize it to less than 100 KB. 3. when your done resizing it save it in a folder that is easy to get to. 4. when you manage your attatchments browse the folder you put the resized pics in and just attatch. Like I said I don't know if your computer works the same or not but if it does this is a easy procedure. good luck
