What was the first year of the Blazer?

I found a guy listing an 1968 2wd Blazer on Craigslist (boise) and It sounded pretty funny. I thought that the first year was 1970. Am I wrong?

Re: What was the first year of the Blazer?

1970 was the first year for the 2wd Blazer. For 1969, they were 4wd only.

Yes must be a 68 nose job from a truck. Just like my Jimzer in the link for the signature.

Re: What was the first year of the Blazer?

Many times people look at the manufactured date and get the model year wrong. I have a buddy who isn't that savy with our trucks that swears his grandpa's old original stepside is a 68. I have told him numeous times that just because it was made in 12/68 doens't make it a 68. Also the 69 hood, fenders, and grill kinda give it away also. The one on craigslist that says 68 has most likely been swaped over to the older style front clip.
