Re: lights on
there's a relay under the hood you can pull if you don't like 'em.

Re: lights on
This relay...is it like a permanent thing or what? Because when you pull onto base here at night, you have to turn your lights off, so as to not like blind the gate guards... well the lights dont go off and I'd like for them too... So if i pull this relay, then it'll just take off the Daytime running lights... but it wont like make the chime stop workin if say I leave the lights on right? Thanks

Re: lights on
You have to be careful about doing things like this theres other things powered by that same relay circuit and if you pull it you lose the others as well im not sure what else is on that circuit but Chevrolet designed the system like that for a reason.
It's a safety feature and they don't want people jacking with it thats why they put other important systems into it's Pwr. circuit. Just tell the Gate boy tough $hit the truck has a DRL system. They should know this anyway, Like previously stated the systems have been around for years and they should not be deactivated! Last edited by 87 STEPPER; 04-14-2007 at 03:17 PM. |

Re: lights on
The DRL's are the smaller clear bulb in the turn signals. There are auto headlamps that can be defeated by turning the headlamp switch to the left.

Re: lights on
On my 01 2500 hd all you have to do is push the dome over ride button 5 times after the truck is started and it will disable them and you will have to manualy turn your lights on.Once the truck is shut off it defaults back to auto mode and you have to do it all over again.

Re: lights on
If you press your dome light swtich about 3 or 4 maybe 5 times fast in a row you will shut them off. That is a by pass you can use. soon as you shut your truck off you will have to do that again.

Re: lights on
I've used this on several occasions on my truck, I think it's only 3 times....
