GARAGE SALE find
yesterday, , Stacked up on the lawn were thses WeLD Racing wheels,- best part aside from the price ($ 25.oo per ) was the fact that they were 8-lug.
This alone was the reason why a 9 a.m. start G-sale , thses puppies were just waiting for me to come 'buy' & snatch em' up 2 hours later...( and included center caps.. Then a trip to Les Schabb, and a perfect set of used rubber ( 215/ 65 / 17 ), they were mounted & rolling by 1:30 yesterday afternoon.. !!!! everything came to under what ONE of these wheels would have cost... What's your best G-sale/ swap meet story....???? Big THANKS for all the + comments,.. Here's a before image on the day My Wife bought it w/ the Alaskan pop up camper.. 12/ 25/ 06 !! ( sold the camper to pay for 90% of the drop & power disc brakes cost.. Happy Easter

Re: GARAGE SALE find
Sure don't see many of those and in 8 lug.....
My best deal ever was an M-22 Muncie, shifter, 2 bell housings, clutch set, crossmember, throwout arm and bearing all for $75 out of a 69 Nova SS. I sold the crossmember and bell housings and clutch for $80, put the tranny in my 78 pickup and ran it for 6 years before pulling it and selling it for $275.

I think they'd look better on my rig... but you'll have to send your lowering parts too.

Re: GARAGE SALE find
I like those Sidewinders. They go for a bit over $200@ and that`s before the caps. They have a nice "wheel" look as to a "mag" look,if you know what I mean.

Re: GARAGE SALE find
wheels look good.
my best garage sale "parts" finds were a set of Edelbrock aluminum heads for an old flathead ford bought for 10 bucks and sold the next day for 350.00. a couple weeks ago i got a factory tach cluster for my 77 blazer for free--the guy was parting a 77 K/5 next door to the yard sale i stopped at.

Re: GARAGE SALE find
This one is HARD to beat. Complete set of aluminum connecting rods for my small journal 302 (chevy) for $1.00 at a flea market in Petersburg VA. The guy said "they oughta be worth THAT in scrap right?" Still in the motor today. (in the back seat) Great find and Happy Easter.

Re: GARAGE SALE find
My best deal happened recently, check this out: three running 327 engines, one 396 engine complete, three edelbrock 1407 carbs, two holley 3310 carbs, three sets of valve covers one set nos in GM wrapper, one brand new GM water pump in package and about twenty assorted brackets and pulleys. Got this all for $500. Sold four of the used carbs and had my money back and now have a garage full of motors including the big block and other stuff left!

Re: GARAGE SALE find
No garage sale find story, but wanted to make sure I didn't forget to tell you how sweet that truck looks now. It's amazing what a set of wheels will do. Hope I see it cruising around sometime soon.
