Starting new motor
I am wanting to start my rebuilt motor this week and was wondering about the transmission cooling lines. Do I need to connect these to the tranny and the radiator,or can I just plug the fittings? The transmission is rebuilt and has no fluid in it yet. Thanks in advance for your replies.

Re: Starting new motor
do not put plugs in the tranny, you can loop the tranny lines temporarily. Make sure you put 1 gallon of oil in the tranny first, then start and pour in 1 more gallon

Re: Starting new motor
![]() think about this... you wouldn't start your motor without oil, so why would you run the tranny without fluid?
