Re: i need your opinon

I vote red with your current design but if you ever decide to change black will go with carpet seat and dang most any color.

Sounds like you got the mounting right but just remember on these types of belt mounting is crucial. The bar needs to be at shoulder level so in case god forbid there is ever an accident. They belt don't compress you down into the seat. just alittle heads up but every thing sounds cool to me.

Re: i need your opinon

cool thanks the bar im planing on buildinf will just go up and over the rear window then have a bar that goes strait across under the window then where that welds together there will be an angle bar that goes dowm to the floor twards the front oof the truck but will be low enough to get in and out od the seat without any problem

the belts will go through the wholes in the top of the seat and bolt the the bar under the window

something else to consider, if this is a street truck...esp a daily driver, those are NOT legal for street use, you'll have to retain your stock belts too.

Re: i need your opinon

And in reality, he/you probably never will get in trouble. However, they are not certified, and pretty much all cops know this. So any one that is just lookin for a reason to bust you, can nail you on removing federally mandated safety equipment, and/or unapproved restaints. Installed properly, and worn properly, they are safer. We all know this. However, *they* don't care about that. Uncertified is uncertified.
If you have any kind of anual inspection, they can/supposed to fail you for this also.
Another issue, that is more and more of a problem, any passenger injured from your modified safety equipment would win any kind of suit against you, and the ambulance chacers would zero in on the uncertified/modified equipment.

Legally... yes.

I'm not tellin you this trying to be a saftey jerk... I'd just hate to see you spend your hard earned money and get a ticket to add to the bills. At least now you KNOW and you can make that decision.

Re: i need your opinon

stock is legal
And I *THINK* any 3 point set up sold as a kit for your specific truck is too, but you'd need to double check on that.
I had to remove a 3 point racheting set up outta my old blue longhorn due to a state inspection station going by the book. He got in and imidiatly noticed the later model belts and giged me on it. I got lucky and located some blue lap belts at a local yard the next day.
