Re: My Low83 Pics
Thanks, it's a 4/5 drop, 2 cut coils in the front with an old time alignment kit to bring it back to specs and a flip kit in the rear. Rims are 15x9 with 275/50R15 TA's

Re: My Low83 Pics
Are they jpgs file? if their jpg and you have microsoft office just open it in Microsoft photo editor under the pull down "image" select "resize" you can increase or decrease size.
Nice looking truck by the way.

go to www.imageshack.us , and where it asks if you want to resize the image, select message board size (640x480).

Re: My Low83 Pics
Slugish, I assume you have a 4" drop in the rear? How did you do that, 2" drop shackles and 2" drop spring front mounts? I actually think even lowered trucks should have a rake to them, if I ever get to build a "g-machine" street truck (something that I really wanna do) I'd be going for 4/4 drop, thus retaining the rake these trucks have stock.

Re: My Low83 Pics
Yes you are correct about the rear. Iused shackles & hangers which got me down 4 in , then I had the stock leaf springs (4 on each side dearcked ) approx.2.5 in. for a total of 6.5 in ,or thereabouts. If Idid over again I WOULD DO A FLIP KIT . Iended up spending too much money on the de arcking. Had it done twice because the 1st time . wasnt satisfied with look. What a disease to have. Ive also heard the lowering leaf springs you can buy are a little mushy.

Re: My Low83 Pics
Looking good, Malo.
BTW, you'll lose a bit of resolution as you increase the original size of an image.

Re: My Low83 Pics
Thanks for all the kind words , like Slugish i'm just an old fart trying to learn new tricks yeah the truck is primered, the original paint was a two tone, light beige on the top and bottom with a darker bronze on the mid section, not in a hurry to paint yet, but I like the silver/pewter colors. Taking lessons from my teenage daughter on this digital camera and posting pics problem of mine

Re: My Low83 Pics
John -
Your pics has good resolution, just increase the size of the pic on your camera. I increased one of your images to the maximum allowable uploaded width, but it loses some resolution. But ..., the Truck/Stance stills looks good.

SaskC10 the old style kit is what they used to lower the front before Spindles which was replacing the top 2 A arm bolts to longer ones and then a 1/2" spacer is placed behind the shims to kick out the top of the tire so you don't get that bowed in look when they cut the 2 coils off, and it rides nice with the coils cut, it's been this way for the last 23 years with no problems John |
