Perhaps one of the dumbest questions on the board?

Ok, everybody here talks about aftermarket parts, trick motors, suspension, etc.
NOW, here's my dilemma for the day. I went to 2 chain parts stores to get wipers. Yup, you heard me. Wipers. Ended up buying some trico teflon refills, correct by the trico book, and they don't fit worth crap. The other day one popped out of the claw farthest from the little holder doo-dad. I really don't wanna put on the black blades, so what do I use for a replacement refill for the brushed finish blades????

I just put on Anco 15" refills that I purchased form O'Reilly's and they fit just fine.

I used Anco's I got from wally world. I can't remember if I got the 14 or 15", probably 15? I remember they were longer than stock, but they covered the window area better without hitting anything. They were the ones where you put the whole blade on the wiper arm, not just a refill. They clicked right in place and haven't budged since.

Re: Perhaps one of the dumbest questions on the board?

Funny thing I just bought some anco wiper blade assy. and they are wrong
I didn't want black wipers I want the OE look
Napa , B&B and Schucks in the Auburn area could'nt help
the local musclecar shop wants 15$ ea. seems steep but if nobody's
got any other ideas i'll do it BTY ,there always out of stock
maybe I should try that Classic place in Olympia
ideas ?

I had the same problem. I still have the metal backings store away, but every "replacement blade" I tried to put in the original silver wiper, just wouldn't fit right. I'll put them back on if I could find the correct blades.
