swapping 700r4 to th350 in a k5 blazer

as the title says. Thats the plan, the vehicle is a 86 blazer4x4 k5 with a 700r4 and the owner ( who I hope is joining the site soon) is wanting to put a th350 in its place. we are thinking about puting the 700 in my 72 and taking the 350th out of mine and putting it into the blazer. Whats needed to do this swap and is it possible? I know the 700r4 will go into my 72 but not sure about the th350 into the blazer. The blazer owner wants to use the th350 because he dont need the overdrive tranny.

Shouldn't be any problem.
All you'd need would be a possibly a TH350 kickdown cable, and a longer driveshaft.

Other than those two items, you should be able just to bolt it right up. Throttle cable should be plenty long enough. I say possibly a kickdown cable, because you might be able to use the one of your truck on the blazer - but I'm guessing it is going to be a different length.
