fuel pressure question - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I have a liquid filled fuel pressure guage on my fuel rail. My question is when I start it up it reads 7-8 psi really good but after I have driven it or run it for a long time it drops to like 2-3 psi. Is it from the gauge getting hot and building up pressure or what?
