67-72 winch bumper options/pics?
I have a '70 4X4 that I'm getting close to finishing but I can't find a winch bumper for it, any ideas? It had a "home made" winch bumper on it when I got the truck but it looked like

Re: 67-72 winch bumper options/pics?
What is the truck used for? Heavy hard wheeling or just a camping viehicle?
This one was built by http://www.kenmtn.com/ back in 1999. I haven't delt with them sence then so I have no clue what or if they are still making them?? Warn use to make a similar one "classic" or something like that, but it is REAL flimsy and week on the ends and the first tree you "tap" with it will bend it Use the internet and maybe you can find a local fab guy to weld up what you want...really the best way to get somethign strong... Good Luck

Re: 67-72 winch bumper options/pics?
it's more or less a driver, a simple paint job turned into a frame off, and now it'll be too nice to play in the mud with! But I have the old style 8000lb warn winch that was on the truck when I got it and I 'd like to put it back on the truck. Thanks for the link.

Anything made for a`73-up will fit if you move it forward about an inch due to the peaked front center.

Just a word about Kennesaw Mountain, I have heard some very bad things about them. I could be wrong, but you should search CK5, pirate, and google first before you make your decision to buy from them.

Re: 67-72 winch bumper options/pics?
Kennesaw Mountain built the one on my D-max last year it was a wild experience the bumper did not fit my truck but I have to admit he did do a good job on it. I had drove down to his shop and had him put it on while I was picking it up good thing I did would have sucked to get it home and not had it fit. He worked on it all most all day to make the changes needed to get it to work on the truck. It wasn’t totally his fault I have an odd d-max it’s a 2004.5 and not many were made. When done the second time it was not as pretty as the first one but for doing it as I was waiting it turned out good. Ill try to get you guys some pics. Over all I would use him again for something like a new truck but for my 68 I will be making my own. After seeing him make mine Ill just do the 68 my self plus the one he sells for the 67 to 72 is mainly just some 2 x 6 box steel. Although I did tell him how I wanted my 68 done and he said he would do it
