installing upper control arm
Here's another example of why you should take notes. Getting ready to install the upper control arm and I can't remember exactly where the convex spacer goes(looks like a thick washer dished on one side). Does it go behind the shim pack or between the shim pack and cross shaft.Thanks..Stroker

spacer goes back behind shim packs, closer to engine than the shim pack, i just glanced at the 71 to make sure, front clip is removed currently, if you need any details or measurements or anything at all lemme know i can measure on the 71, its stock and original and unmodified

Thanks for the info guys.Anyone got any pointers for installing the front springs on a bare frame.I don't think there will be enough weight without a engine or body to use a jack to compress the spring.I'm guessing a spring compressor will be needed....Stroker

stroker,i had the same problem with spring,i bolted a piece of angle iron on the concrete floor. next to each side of frame then put a 4x4 across frame with chain down to each angle iron, then used floor jack under lower A arm.sounds like alot of work, but worked slick for me.
