Zkast: I don't know of any truck clubs or shows (specifically for our trucks). I was up at a cruise at Hooters (40 hwy & Noland Rd) earlier this summer and there were quite a few trucks all parked together. Ron Manes was up there with them so maybe he has a little club going. "DREW67", "Joesjunk", and r"olnlow" all live in the Raytown/Independence area. I've met Drew and Joe. There may be others too. Are you planning on going to the Goodguys show October 11th-13th?? Maybe we could all meet up there. I just met "ProSt68Trk" today. He came up here from Arkansas with his wife and son to see the Royals play. Very nice guy. He stopped by the house to see my truck since he was in town. I mentioned Goodguys to him and he said he might come up for it. Also, "justin" who lives near St. Loius might come up for it also. So, maybe we can arrange something. If I new for sure that everyone would be available, maybe I could have a little gather at my house one day that weekend..... grill some burgers.... drink some beers. Whatcha think?

Sounds like a plan to me.

Where is the Goodguys show?

Maybe next year I'll have one of the trucks ready to enter in a few shows... MAYBE lol. I always get a real bad case of the "mightaswellas". While im working on the engine, I ' Might as well as put new heads on, while im doing heads I... well you get the point LOL.

Look forward to meeting some of you guys.
Also.. although I dont have time to run a club, I could offer a website and emails for anyone who is intersted in running one?

Yep I'll be there

THanks for the Club links guys.

Strange thing around here though (Olathe) is I see plenty of our trucks around... Some VERY nice restored units and all but it seems there is no common bond type of thing going on. I remember when riding bikes around town you would get the "nod" or "wave" from fellow bikers. There doesnt seem to be that type of thing with the truck owners. I guess they drive them just for transportation and nothing more.... No feeling of pride

I just looked at the info I had. They had a contract for 2 years at the Marriot. Sorry. that will be lots better than the airport. More People!

I am just now in the process of joing the Genuine Chevy/GMC Truck Club of Kansas City. Turns out my great uncle and his son were in it and I didn't know it. I see them all the time and he has a 71 Chevy and I didn't know that either... and I have a 72. He just got his and he cheated... bought his all fixed up.
