More pics/progress on our 84 c10 SWB.

I know I told you guys on my last post it looked different already after posting thoose. Well I got the film developed today so here's recent ones. No changes still the same now. I got the pain buffed out and turned out alot better.

I also got batteries so I'll get some BETTER digital pics as soon as it stops raining here and I wash it off.

Remember me saying the floors were very nice? here ya go....

A few underhood after some gunk and a pressure washing, very nice and only some surface rust on the top here and there of the inner fenders. Mainly under the battery, and of course the battery trey is corroded, but not rotted or any holes yet.

Interior, original seat!!!

Remember the old dull paint after painting??

After buff....

Now for more.....

Re: More pics/progress on our 84 c10 SWB.

Yea the paints all straightened out now, it dried enough over the warm months weather we had and we were able to sand and buff it. Now it's nice and matches the shine of the rest close enough.

Yea I love the floors, the driver's side is identical.

Stupid me had the rubber and seat out and cleaned it all but forgot to get pics while it was ALL open. So before I put the door sill plastic back in on the passenger side I remembered to get a pic.

It's my old mans truck but I'm usually working on it or buying stuff for it. I'm actually going to get myself one for a project sometime. I'd even consider trading my monte for one but pulling my mild 350 and wheels to put in the truck. I guess I'm a true truck man, the motor in my monte came from a 76 c10 and it would scream, tires were not safe, and neither were mustangs and rice burners.

Now it's just a nice cruiser in the car, I'd put the 84 and it's stock 305 againist it. Trucks just seem to show the power better I think. I dunno it's like my car holds back, but as someone said it's easier to break them loose in a truck. I know they'd break loose easy in it and accelerate fast.

I changed rear gears in my car and it's still not a ton better but it's an improvment lol.

Right now the trucks our daily driver long trip driver, and work truck.

My cars the play toy/cruiser.

I'm thinking about changeing that though and I will one day. I put too much time and money into my car though, so I'll hang onto it and wait until I get the extra cash to build myself a truck and another motor.

Yea that's what I heard too.

A good comparison is to take the truck motor and put it in the car, or vice versa lol. I bet they run better and seem meaner in the truck since you can smoke tires easy.

Re: More pics/progress on our 84 c10 SWB.

The motor in mine is definately mean, it was awesome in the truck, but changing intake, cam, and carb I think was a mistake, or putting it in a car, or backed by an auto. it was behind a 3 speed saginaw in the truck and was awesome. Now it's just ok at best, so far. I haven't got on it real hard yet, but I'm about to start LOL.
