Rotors-Anyone make stainless?

I am trying to find front and rear rotors for my project-5 lug. Does anyone make stainless steel or some other metal that does not rust?

thanks for any info/leads

simple way to keep the rust off is to drive the thing.

Coat them in motor oil. They won't work but they won't rust either!

paint the non contact areas and you won't have to worry about rust.

rollie396-I'm not going to be driving this anytime soon, unless I become Fred Flinstone.

Biff-not a bad idea since it'll be sitting awhile

3/4tonterror-will look into the zinc coated rotors

Shane-I may end up painting, haven't decided yet

Ole blue-will check out CPP

Re: Rotors-Anyone make stainless?

Check out the Power Slot rotors, they have a military-spec cadmium plating that won't rust.
I'm considering them for my 69 4x4.

Re: Rotors-Anyone make stainless?

Anyone have any other ideas. I've watched several American Hot Rod shows and it looks like the rotors they use are either chrome or some other high polished finish?? Also seen chrome calipers-any ideas there??

Stainless steel rusts. I actually don't know of any metal that doesn't rust or corrode.

Re: Rotors-Anyone make stainless?

There is no such thing as stainless steel rotors on anything that heavy, nor would you want them.

Just get some zinc plated ones, that will stay shiny for awhile. You could always paint the rest of the rotor too. Stay away from all the drilled/slotted gimmicks, unless you just want it for the appearance (the appearance of having gimmicky parts on your car )
