Question Plz ID some Parts

My Blazer is kind of a frakenstien of parts.

It has late 70's 3/4 ton axels. Which ones are these?

Is this a correct bush bar for these trucks?

Are these the 73 and after tow hooks?

Is this t-case shifter from an 80's chevy?

And finally what is this steering column out of? My blazer was originally manual.

Re: Plz ID some Parts

Well, I'm not an expert on the axels, so I'll leave that to someone else. These trucks didn't come with brush guards, so they are all aftermarket. That one doesn't appear to have the correct bumper profile on it so I'd guess it was a pull-off from something else. The tow hoods are not originals and they don't look right for '73+ to me either. T-case shifter looks like it might be a NP208, but shots of the actual transfer case would probably be easier to identify. The sterring column looks like a 67-72 truck or van but the steering wheel is not correct.

Re: Plz ID some Parts

I knew the bush guard wasn't OE but since I never had a bumper I wasn't sure if it had the correct profile. I'm not sure what t-case it had in it, it didn't come with one. And it looks like it has a pontiac steering wheel.

Two other things I forgot to ask were:

What year is this rear seat out of?

And are these the original buckets?

The rearends don't even look GM. I may be wrong. The column is pre 71 possibly 68-70. The steering wheel was used on 70's-90's Chevys and Pontiac. The horn botton is Pontiac. The shifter looks like a 80's-90's S-10 T case shifter. I'm sure someone else will know for sure.

Those are original utility bucket seats. The rear look like late 80's or early 90's Blazer.

Front seats are stock utility buckets, but they have been recovered. Console is original blazer console too. The back seat looks like a later model Blazer or perhaps bronco. Does it tilt forward?

front axle looks like a corp.10 bolt, rear is a 14 bolt with the smaller ring gear, there are 2 different 14 bolts, this is the lighter duty one, looks like a 203 xcase shifter, bet that what case you got.but if you got over drive it might be a 208 case?? what tranny is in it???
rear seat looks like one out of a 84-85 blazer.

Can't be a 203 as they were full time 4wd from the factory. I'd guess it is off a 208 or 241.

Re: Plz ID some Parts

It doesn't have any drivetrain in it. My Uncle was the only person that knew what was in it but he passed away a few years before I got it. I'm putting a 350/sm465/np205 combo in it. Will that t-case shifter work for a np205?

Shift pattern is different for a 205.

The console ,however, does not come factory with the utility buckets....at least that is what I have been able to ascertain. I could, however, be wrong.

Exactly why I said "original Blazer console"... Usually utility buckets were on low option trucks, but they weren't exactly consistant back then so anything is possible.

Re: Plz ID some Parts

Well I have HEAVY DUTY AUX SEAT as an option, so I guess that means the utility buckets?

Re: Plz ID some Parts

With utility buckets, one is standard and the passenger is optional. The console was added-in.They only came with the CST buckets. The t-case shifter came with all the later t-cases.My`91 Suburban has the same one and it has a NP241.The brush guard is from a 73-80 by the bumper profile. The front axle is a 1-bolt,9 are missing.I`m guessing all this came of an`80 K/20.It prolly had a NP208 and that`s when the semi-floaters started in the K/20s.

Re: Plz ID some Parts

The towhooks look like '81-'87 GM pickup ('81-'91 Blazer and Suburban).

The rear seat looks like '78-'91 Blazer and Suburban.

T-case shifter looks like '81-? GM truck.

Re: Plz ID some Parts

With the brakes,`80 should work,or newer. They can tell you what years span the same part.I don`t think there were any changes in 10-bolt brakes.

Re: Plz ID some Parts

I work at Canadian Tire , so I can just do that myself. I've never researched to hard into it b/c replacing the brakes is far down on the list of stuff to do.
