It's show season - First show this Saturday
I'm really excited because the weather is turning and show season has started! There's about 5 different events this weekend in central Georgia!!!
I'll be spending my Friday night washing the truck. Then a little claybar, followed by a fresh coat of wax and an interior detail, and then it's off to Tifton this Saturday! Now that's a good Friday night Should be 100 cars or so, don't know how many in the truck class though. I'll be sure to take plenty of pictures for everyone! 73-87s all the way!

Yup, can't wait!
Hey, I notice you are from Cypress, TX. My orders just changed from Fort Stewart, GA, to Fort Hood, Texas. I know NOTHING about Texas... is Cypress near Fort Hood? Edit: just googled it, yup, it's close in Texas terms I guess

Re: It's show season - First show this Saturday
Just got in, 200 miles of driving, sunburned to a crisp...
1st Place in Class: Trucks, 1971 - 2007 Also had a group of local Chevy gurus give my truck the one-over, apparently she isn't so original, haha... somewhere along the line the first owner threw on a Holley Carb, possibly a four-barrel (we didn't take the air filter off to verify if it was a 2 or 4). Also, the air filter is not the correct size, but I kind of deduced that from the fit of the intake cover. Not a big deal though... in fact if that Holley ends up being a 4 barrel then that's good and it also explains why my 305 is so mysteriously peppy. Also, I'm running rich, but I knew that. Poor gas mileage is really the only problem from that for now. I averaged 16 MPG for the trip. The guy that cruised down behind me b*tched about how my truck made him high, though! He can't complain, his 46 Chevy Sedan was LEAKING GASOLINE when the tank was full. But once a gallon leaked out or was consumed, it stopped. All in all a great day, pics on the way...
