Re: Getting closer!

Great stance on the truck, a nicely tucked front bumper would top (er front) it off well.

Re: Getting closer!

Thanks guys. I have a front roll pan to put on but it is fiberglass and it doesn't fit too well. If I can't get to work I will try your tucked bumper idea. I never thought of that!

Re: Getting closer!

I like your wheels/stance. I know Wheel Vintiques carries them. What size are yours? Did you tub the rear? Thanks, Daniel U

Yes they are Wheel Vintiques 15X7", I can't remember the backspacing. The tire size is 235/60r15 all the way around. I didn't realize how little room there is in the rear for a tire without tubbing it which I did not do. I might have to consider mini tubbing it to get a bigger tire under it. I don't want to alter the frame but my 454 isn't going to be easy on the 235's!

Notice, the houses all look similar but I'll bet no one has a pick up like yours! Nice job.

Any chance you have time to take a shot from the rear(down low)?

Like this shot.

Are those wheels as big as will fit in the rear? What rear end are you using? Thanks for the pics. Daniel U

Re: Getting closer!

It's pretty tight back there, maybe a 1/2" to 3/4" on the inside by the box side and 1" to 2" at the fender. I wish someone made widened steel fenders for the rear. I might end up mini tubbing it to run a wider tire and just cut out the box side and cut rear fenders for the tubs inside the box. As for the rearend it's a 8.5" 10 bolt out of a 72 Nova with the perches cut off and the perches on it now are from the RB kit I got quite a while ago. The rear has 4.10's in it now but they will have to go unless I get a 700r4 to go in there. I would like to drive it on the highway once in while. If you have questions I will be happy to answer them.

Re: Getting closer!

Thanks for the additional pics. I think I've decided on these wheels for my '54. I'm trying to keep as many GM parts on it as possible, so these GM rally wheels will lend themselves to that theme. I've always liked them, just never considered them for my '54. After seing your truck, I liked the look. I will probably color match the wheel to my truck. They will wiegh less than the other 17's I looked at. Tires will be cheaper too! When I get it on the road, my local tire shop has a tool that measures the distance to get the most tire between the frame and fender. The front tires will match as there is plenty of room up front with the Must.II front end. Thanks again, Daniel U
