idle question
First I have a mild 355 Auto th400. How much should the idle drop from park to drive? Right now it idles around 950 in park and around 700 in drive is that about right?

Re: idle question
I have no choke on my carb and the little extra idle seems to help some.

Re: idle question
yeah I forgot about that part....before I yanked my engine out, I didn't use my choke....it doesn't get too cold here in Phoenix for too long....

Re: idle question
your in the ball park. adjust to suit taste.
just not so high it run's on after truning off.. and your tranny don't klunk from being to high. mines right at 700 in drive. different cam, intake's and carb combo's will change this around a little. |

Re: idle question
If it's working for you, leave it where it's at. I just increased mine for the same reason.
