Power Steering Gear Box
I have some play in the steering wheel, not much but some, how do I adjust this with the gear box, any pics? Thanks

There`s a stud with a nut on top to adjust it.Just turn a little at a time and drive it.Tightening too much can cause a bind and premature wear.Check condition of the rag joint,too.

special-k's got it..
he's talking a 1/4 turn at max each time..clockwise (in) to much and your wheel won't want to return to center after truning a corner if it does right now. |

First check the rag joint. Its the funny looking fabric reinforced flexible coupling closest to the steering box.
If its frayed, etc. you need a new one. Even if it looks ok, its probably not. Parts stores have rebuild kits (from China, yea!) for about $10. |
