need a little help
iam new to 67-72 pickups and have a question? iam looking at 1969
with a inline six cylinder and a three speed on the tree. it has a a step side bed. my question is will a swb fit the truck without having to mod the frame? i have a ls1 motor and trans to put in it. i want to find another truck if i have to mod the frame. thanks for your help! |

if you have a short step bed it can be replaced by a short fleetside bed by just un bolting and bolting the new one up// if you have a long step bed it can only be replaced by a long fleetside bed without changing the frame

But even if It's a long step seems like the new fashion around here is to just shorten the frame.
Everyone is doing it, its easy, and lots of info on it. So don't pass it up if its a nice truck just because it may be lwb Also to the board, RJ22 |
