power steering mounting help. pleasssssseeee!
hey all i cant remeber show the power steering pump mounts to the block could someone with a stock or close to stock setup post pics. thanks in advance.

The photos below are not the greatest - it was dark under the hood and a trouble light was not near at hand.
In the first photo you can see a bracket bolted to the block (bolts numbered with a 3). Bolt 2 attaches the A/C compressor to this bracket, and bolt 1 attaches the p/s pump bracket to the first bracket. The second photo is more from the top (sorry about the dirty engine). The bolt indicated attaches the p/s pump bracket to the block. Hope this helps... |

i wonder if all 73-87 trucks have crooked P/S pumps, ive never had a truck where the P/S pump pully lines up perfectly with the other pullys

come to think of it mine is off too i tried to shim it but it never worked out ok

my pulleys are straight for the power steering but the belt of the fan is not needs some washers. Also my brackets are from a 63 impala.
