4.10's locked and loaded

I got the install of my eaton locker done last night, I was a little worried that even a 10% decrease in rear gear might bog my 250 I6, but all I can say is WOW! Lockers rock
Turning a truck 90 degrees around a corner with nothing but the throttle is awesome......but leaving two 'S' patterened rubber patches in your wake will bring a smile to anyones face!
My front and rear gears finally match.....next step is tires (these have been bald for far too long!)
Long term I have a built 250 to go into the engine bay to compliment the headers and 4bbl on there now.

Sounds like your next set of tires will go bald even quicker than this set that needs replaced

Re: 4.10's locked and loaded

The 250 pushes the truck really well, I am a little concerend about what a swap from 31's to 35's will do.....thinking my 250 sitting in my garage is going to need a toquey cam swapped in to replace the one the PO put into it (he was planning on installing the souped up 250 in a nova backed by a PG).
It leaks a little oil, but even with the 450 cfm 4bbl the mpg is 13~15mpg....hopefully slightly better with 4.10's (but my speedo is now so screwed up, I am not sure how I would judge my total miles traveled).

13-15mpg is nothing to laugh at for an old 3/4ton 4x4 truck. Thats pretty damn good mileage!
