Re: Air Tank Question

Depending on the compressor, it is recommended to run no more than 5 gallons per compressor. Most are happy with 2 compressors and 2-3 gallon tanks.

Re: Air Tank Question

I run (2) three gallon tanks and one compressor. They can be seen above my gas tank. I went for the stealth look. When the bed is on they won't be seen.

Am I the only one that thinks this frame looks way too thin about the axle? Not trying to hate, just thinking about safety.

It seems upon inspection to be part of another vehicle? Seems like it from the compound curves of the upper bracket and the shock mounts.

More info would help us out.

The picture is kind of deceiving. There is plate on the side and top and a lot of metal in front and to the inside of the frame rails. it is hard to see because everything is black. I can see how you could think that looking at the picture.

No harm.

Marc.

I didn't intend to high jack the thread.

This is a modified G-body frame (Monte Carlo, Cutlass, Grand National). The frame was modified when I bought the truck but it used a conventional coils spring suspension. the rear section was added by the pervious owner to hold the gas tank and support the rear section of the bed. I did cut te notch but I reinforced the top and side with 1/8" plate.

There is actually more metal round the area in question then most frames becuse of the kick up.

The time to fix it would be now if people really think that it will be a problem. Feedback welcome.

Marc
