Ground straps

I have 1 ground strap that goes from the batt to the engine and that's it. I've read that you should have 3, so where do the original ground straps connect to or where is th best place for them?

On mine there are two straps mounted between the firewall and the rear bolt on each valve cover and I'm not sure but I think the other is mounted under the cab from the front cab support to the frame.

Doesn't really matter as long as they're between the frame and bodymetal, the cab and bed cushions kinda act like insulators so you need the straps to provide a good ground from the frame to body.

What RR said. This is where I usually start:

Body (Cab and Bed) to Frame
Frame to Motor
Motor to body

Scrape paint to bare metal to get as good of contact as you can.

Batt to motor (4 gauge min.)
Frame to cab (strap or 10 gauge min)
Motor to frame (strap or 10 gauge min) I like this better then motor to cab, cab gets its ground from the frame to cab

Optional
Batt to rad support ( 10 gauge, I like to run this to help with grounding of lights, horns, electric fans, etc)

The bed does not have any rubber isolators just make sure you have clean metal between frame and bed or add a strap if you have ground issues with tail lights.

Clean paint from surface for ground terminals, use a star washer between terminal and surface (frame and body) then brush over with some liquid electrical tape to keep from corroding.

there's supposed to be straps to the bed from the frame too... and if you have a wooden floor, they are pretty important.
