Help. Going to discs????

I'm planning on getting the front&rear disc brake kit for my 69 swb. I want to go to 5 lug all the way around and was wondering what is the best/cheapest way to convert the rear to 5. I'm planning on the complete kit from CPP. Any other help or suggestions about this process would be greatly appreciated.
-thanks

oh...and to anyone that has bought and installed the complete kit from CPP...
everything work out well? any extra costs to the install?

Re: Help. Going to discs.

I am in the process of swaping the front X Member from another truck. There is more work involved in the method, but from what I found using the search feature and other post on the subject, the effort is well worth it. I will order 5 bolt axels for my 69 12 bolt. If you decide to go this route, a X Member from a 73 TO 87 TRUCK or 73 TO 91 SUBURBAN will work. If you use the advanced search feature you will find old threads on other methods the do not require the xmember change.

Re: Help. Going to discs.

I just ordered axles from summit, $111 each. Also need to consider cost of drums, and may as well put in a set of bearings and seals too. Might be cheaper for you to swap in a used axle.
The axles are from Superior, I can't remember the first few letters but I believe the number part of the part number is 5855
