Big ass clutch pedal spring
I took off that big ole giant clutch pedal spring under the dash to see if it would make for a more comfortable clutch pedal (it does) but got thinking, does this cause anything to mess up. I don't notice anything weird about it but I also got to thinking that there has to be a reason GM put it thataway and i'm sure I would of heard something about it if it was such a great thing to do. Am I wrong, should I put it back?

well, the weight of the pedal could cause a light 'riding the clutch' condition.
I would hook it back up, and see if you could locate a lighter spring maybe. |

Longhorns right I took the spring out of my 61 years ago and it slowly whore the clutch out. Just find a lighter spring any spring that will hold the pedal up

Farm supply stores are a good source for springs like the one you will need.
