HELP!! Motor is stuck!

I bought a 72 Blazer with a 350 from a guy. Apparently the motor got some water down the carb, when the hood was off and now won't turn over. I pulled all the plugs and water came out of the rear plug hole on the passenger side. I'm guessing that rust has formed in a couple of the cylinder walls and it won't turn over. I've tried putting diesel fuel down the spark plug holes, to loosen things up...but it won't budge. Anyone have any ideas before I have to remove the motor and tear it apart???

You can try transmission fluid, works wonders on freeing up motors.

Did you try turning the motor over with the starter before pulling the plugs ?? If so you may have bent a rod if the cylinder was filled with water.... Or are you trying to turn it over with a breaker bar on the crank ?? Either way if it sat with water in the bores for any length of time it's probablly gonna need rebuilt...you can always pull the heads and see how bad it looks

squirt some oil in there...? PB Blaster or WD-40? What's the worst that could happen?

Marval Mystery oil I'm telling ya the stuff is awesome. I buy it by the gallon and thats no joke you can get it a Napa and others some keep it on stock some have to order it that way for ya. RJ22

Pull all the plugs and see if it will turn over then? If not, as mentioned earlier, get some Marvey Mystery Oil, and pour some down all cylinders. Let stand a day or two, and try to turn it over again. May take 2-3 times, but it will loosen it up. Have had real good luck with this stuff.

i mix 50/50 marvel mystery oil and wd40 let set a couple of days then VERY GENTLY by hand try turning a little bit at a time back and forth a slow rocking motion adding the mixture also as it moves too much force or being impatient and using the electric starter you'll end up breaking the rings

Well guys....here's what I've done so far. I tried turning it over by starting it...and it wouldn't budge a bit! Next I pulled the plugs and sprayed some WD-40 down the holes, then just tried turning it over by hand with a socket on the front pulley..and it wouldn't move. Then I poured diesel fuel down the plug holes and tried a pry bar on the flywheel. I still can't seem to get it to move. I don't want to bend a rod (if I haven't already) so that's why I've just been trying to do things with my muscles. (which aren't very big)

Ext56...I'd heard about the tranny fluid, but haven't tried that yet.
Jason and Dan....I've never heard of Marvel Mystery before...but I'll look into it.
What's the best way to try and turn it over??

Did you pull the drain plug and see if the bottom of the engine was full of water? I did the same thing to my truck: Hood was off, but under a canopy. Torrential rain storm and the canopy filled with water, formed a belly which sagged down and popped on the carb stud. It sat that way for a few days only, when I looked the water level was at the top of the carb. I pulled all the plugs and drained gallons of water from the oil pan. Removed the valve covers to sop up the water on top of the heads. Cranked it by hand and water shot out of most of the plug holes. Sprayed each cylinder with Gibbs lube, added new oil and filter, pulled the dizzy and primed the engine oil pump with a drill for about 2 minutes. Put it all back together, cleaned out the carb and started it up. It ran funny at first but that turned out to be a needed carb rebuild. I changed the oil again after I ran it for about 30 minutes at temperature.

I would say a good size prybar on the flywheel. I used a crowbar on mine and finally got it broke loose. Work it both ways instead if just going one way. I don't think you will have to worry about bending the rods turning it by hand. I drove mine for four years with no problems after I got it broke loose.
