Talking my 67 c10 project build thread ,

I see a lot of you guy's put all your pics in one thread so I guess I'll start mine here ,
story ,,,,,,,,,,started with a 1967 c10 short fleet that was a good solid truck but was used and abused , never had been painted though , I am building it back completly stock with a few upgrade's inside , going to change it from the light green to black that is the only mod ,
paid $4000 got a new radiator support from tri plus with the truck and also two new inner fender's and a cab rubber kit with all the window rubber seal's
hear is a quick recap , I have done a lot to it since last fall
new exhaust , new tire's , new brake's and line's , refreshed the engine with new lifter's and rocker arm's , put on new rocker panel's and part of the cab corner's , and as of right now I am priming and blocking the cab and front end , haven't started on the bed yet as my garage is small will fix the bed and paint it seperate ,,

Wink Re: my 67 c10 project build thread ,

I am hoping to get the cab and front end all blocked out within the next two week's , I will paint the interior and under the hood and door jamb's then paint the whole cab and front next ,
one thing I have noticed and it's more evident on 67's is the panel fit was off JUST A LITTLE BIT from the factory , I only have one gap that I don't like and it's the hood to fender gap , the hood is not curved exactly the same as the fender's , but I am gonna leave it , I can't work on it forever , once I get it straight it's gettin paint !

Re: my 67 c10 project build thread ,

It sure makes it easier starting out with a solid truck doesn't it?

Re: my 67 c10 project build thread ,

Normally I'd be sad you went away from the green, but nothing beats black on a straight body.

Talking Re: my 67 c10 project build thread ,

yea I was at a spot between a rock and a hard place to about the color , you see I wanted a 1967 C10 black with red interior for a lot of year's , oh yea and I wanted an all original close to rust free truck to work with , so here I found this one last fall that was just what I wanted all but the color ,
so ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, it's black !
that's what happened , (LOL)
one more thing about black if you drive a vehicle much like I do is that you can spot repair very easy (IT WILL ALWAYS MATCH) and it's CHEAP way cheaper than color's are , the green is nice though
