Weird Story About my Neutral Safety Switch

When i first put my new column and neutral safety switch, my engine would turn over and start fine in park and neutral. The next time i adjust my column, i can only start it in neutral and not park. So now for a third time a adjust my column and guess what now it will only turn over in the drive position. so anyways my question to you is why is this happening??

Re: Weird Story About my Neutral Safety Switch

You had it right the first time. Starting in park and neutral is what you want. Adjust it back to that point.

Re: Weird Story About my Neutral Safety Switch

Have an assistant stand in back of the truck.
Chock the wheels, or use the parking brake if it is good.
Place shifter in reverse
Slide the switch back and forth untill the back up lights are on.
Test it in park and neutral... it should be good.
Have a drink and complain about your back hurting from doin the under dash boogie.
