Exclamation drum to Disc brake swap 1967-72

I've been told you can use the stock A arms from a 1967--72 1/2 or 3/4 ton truck just change the spindale is this true and will the 1973--87 spindale work or is the Ball joints bigger on eather one 1/2 or 3/4

Reason i ask i like the stay with the older screw in Upper and lower bushing instead of the press in ones let me know

My setup is part 73 connected to my 69. If you look up my post "My Disc Install" you will see and read what and how I did it.

Re: drum to Disc brake swap 1967-72

I'm doing mine with '85 spindles and ball joints, but going with aftermarket 6-bolt rotors.

Check out the FAQ index thread for more info from other builds.
If I were to do it again, I would use the light duty '88-'92 2500's, they had 6 bolt rotors. You do have to change the lower control arm to the original year 3/4 ton one for the larger press-in ball joint. Check out the "easy disk brake swap" thread in the FAQ index. Using this method, you can use ALL off the shelf parts, no special parts at all.

This life was a test. It was only a test. If this had been an actual life, you would have received instructions on where to go and what to do.
