torque bump-stick for a 250

I have a built 250 I bought from a guy who apparently had it built to the specs. of a hot rod article years ago, but he has since lost most of the documentation. I am a little concerned that the cam is going to be more of a high end RPM cam, and be of little use in my 3/4 4x4. Can anyone recommend a good torquey cam for the 250, I am happy with my stock setup now, but it needs a rebuild, and a rebuilt engine like this with all the goodies it had was WAY less than just a basic rebuild on my stocker.

I am looking for something with good low-end torque (looking at putting 35's on to replace my 31's) but I would still like to take advantage of some of the high RPM balancing that was done on this motor.....can I have both?

Call Comp Cams and see what they reccommend then see if Summit has an inexpensive version that is close to that duration, lift and separation angle.

Contact Crower and ask them to build you a "Baja Beast" for an I-6. This is the modern day version of their legendary "Baja Torque Master" that has been in existance since the late '70's.

Re: torque bump-stick for a 250

ttt anyone have any specs on the baja beast cam (in particular torque curves, redline, etc?).

More important, has anyone run a 250 with a setup like that and 4.10's turning 35's?

Contact Crower directly at www.crower.com or you can E-mail them at info@crower.com attn: Camshaft Technical Support. They even have a worksheet you can fill out w/your info re: your truck such as weight, gearing, tire size, engine specs., intended use etc. With all of that info they can grind you a camshaft to your satisfaction.
