Autometer Gauges
I would like to know what are the gauges size holes in the dash to put the correct sizes gauges in. I'd also like to know were would be the best place to get them at. I'm looking for the Ultra-lite II's. Alos which is better electric or mechanical or is it dependendent on the type of gauge.

Re: Autometer Gauges
KFreddy did a great job with the pic!. Some people use the 2 1/16" gauges across the bottom if you want them recessed into the chrome ring. The lip on the 2 5/8" gauges will completely hide that ring. It's a preference thing with some people.

Re: Autometer Gauges
You can find those gauges at any speed shop or mail order such as Summit or Jegs.
As for electrical or mechanical, it is personal preference and application. I feel that mech gauges are more accurate, but it takes a little extra planning to run the probe and tube. Jason

Re: Autometer Gauges
i got one question on this. if you were to buy the 5 inch guages would the ring sit "on top" of the cluster?
Earlier someone stated the biggergaugs for the bottom 4 holes have it so the ring is on the top of the cluster. Which is th way i like them. but i want them all the match also. The link to putters was helpful but i want them on top not inner like he has them. thanks |
