I want this so bad but?

I know I know.. it's a 64 but?

The wife gave me the go ahead to buy this as a daily driver but I have so many projects on my plate that I just can't make myself do it.. It's almost everything I want, shorty, Big back window, Custom cab~

It's a 4 speed though with a 283. Not cut out for commuting. I'd like to drop in at least a 4speed OD but I dont' have the time.. It'll sell someone else will love it.

Re: I want this so bad but?

If I had the cash it would be HARD to pass up on that.

But I agree, that ain't a good daily. Get a newer impala or something for a daily, it'll be more reliable, better fuel economy, etc.

Me too. If I had the Ok from mama, that would be even easier. I was given a pretty decent 65 Suburban, and that was paying too much......

Re: I want this so bad but?

that exactly like my grate grandfathers truck, but it burgandy and white.

Sadly tho it been sitting in the wood for more then 20 years body is great as well as floor but the wood bed is gone one day i plan to fix it no matter what it takes it must run again.

And i agree that truck would be hard to pass up. You said the 4 speed and 283 isnt good for commuting but for me that makes life great i love manual.

I know I know.. but stepsides aren't my cup of tea. That's mainly the reason I built the stepside was that fact that I don't really prefer them. Makes it easier for me to part with it.

That 64 is still for sale and I even found a good 700r4 for $500 but time is not on my side lately. I am bustin my butt to get rid of the 78 so I can start on my other projects I want to keep... Believe me it's VERY tempting especially with everyones input on the truck! But these projects take precedence on the build list:
1967 Nova

1931 Chevy 3 window Coupe

And my 43 Ford

And BTW, I didn't mean to be rude about the truck if anyone is interested it's on Craigs list in Seattle.

Sounds like you have a game plan. But, that 64 sure looks nice and clean.

I've seen some very clean and modded Nova's, especially the two-tone one that got alot of recognition a couple of years ago.

Your 31' couple looks straight except for rusted out bottom.
I saw a '34 tudor that had a mean chop and a blown, big-block where the bug catcher extended pass the roof line and it was running zoomies. If it was ever driven on the streets, all the driver would see through the mailslot would be chrome. When the owner fired it up, it could make some serious NOISE and Turbulence, aside from all that power.

I found a shot of yer pickup there form last year! Nice!!

Hahahaha! I love the description.......also got WWII aircraft gauges and 1 1/2T blackout lights front and rear, diesel military SW tach, and cut down 6x6 seats....

Yes, I'm over at the HAMB as well, although lately it seems a guy can't express his opinion as much as before without it being taken out of context, so I quit posting and just read.

I have to pass on the 64.. Just wanted to vent my inopportune moment here for symapthy from you guys

I think I know the Nova you are talking about. There are a bunch of 2 tone jobbies but this is the best in my opinion:
Roy Pigfords 66 (Highly customized/modified I might ad too!)

My 31 is actually a pretty "straight " car but yes your right it's got a little ( haha) rust down around the bottom. It's ok I can fix it. I got nuttin but time. I like to be different in anyting I build so the 31 CHEVY fits me just fine. I like the A's and such but I like different stuff mostly. You just hardly ever see the older Chevy's anymore.

If you read through this thread you will see what mine will look like once I chop it. DeSoto Chop (it's a DeSoto but same body really) That thing looks so mean!

The 31 is the car I have dreamed about building since I was a wee lad!!!

I did notice those blackout lights.. Pretty cool stuff. You did a damn fine job there.

Sending ya a PM...

Haha!! I don't think sidetracked is the word for it!

I swear I remember that picture from the HAMB. I remember your flames on the wall. My wood is completely gone! I am going to replace it all with 1x1 tubing. The replacement wood is way too much$$$.

Is that a dirt bike I see to the right!! Oh man!! read my PM I sent to ya.

Re: I want this so bad but?

Josh, you have a nicle collection of rides.

Since this thread is already hijacked, I don't feel so bad asking this.

Care to share pics of your '68 Charger (my all time favorite vehicle!)??

I hang at the HAMB too, but I just lurk as well...I think I have like 10 post. Lots of people over there are downrite rude and inconsiderate! If you don't own a '66 or older, you suck and shouldn't be over there. Whatever.

JACKED?? It's my thread

Yeah Josh share em up... I said it was ok

The HAMB is very knowledgable but you have to have thick skin to hang there. I only have a few posts myself and I've been a memeber since, ohh, like 98??
