repro inner fenders
I need to get some repro inner fenders for the 69. I want to pick them up at Charolette this weekend and was wondering if ya'll could give me some opinions on the repro ones. Are they decent or not? Good bad or indiferent, if you have had any experience with them could ya tell me your views.
Thanks |

The reproductions that I have seen look good, but we have not used one yet. We are getting close to trying them because
"reproducible" stock is pretty well depleted here in Michigan. Longhorn's picture sure looks familiar as we have repaired every liner that we have. Jim |

I put a pair on my truck and they fit great. They feel a bit thin but after you paint them and undercoat them, they feel "normal".
I remember that, "gulp", made in Taiwan sticker though. I really hate to put Taiwan stuff on my Chevy but...

Shouldn't you be using a bigger pot to plant that fender in if you want a good crop?...LOL

Thanks for all your input. I know nos would be best. I will try the dealer GeeEmm but I live in hillbilly land and its hard to even get an answer on anything from the dealers around here. I've dealt with 2 chevy dealerships around here and unfortunately my three yr old has more knowledge then either parts guy there. I am glad to hear they worked great Bob, but your right the little taiwan sticker does give ya the chills when you look at it. Well if anyone else has used them keep it coming please. I appreciate all the input and info thus far.
Oh and Andy , isn't that a Smirnoff Ice botlle, what part does that play in the home repop buisiness hehe |

I can check the fenders tommorow to see if they still have part number on them. I tried looking it up in the GM parts book but that thing is almost impossible to figure out sometimes.

If you need Chevy/GMC official part numbers you can look here
http://www.gm-restorationparts.com This is the location of GMs restoration parts. You can buy them from your local GM dealer or order them from the GM web site. These are the licensed parts that you will buy from vendors too. Few people know, but the GM restoration parts are the same parts sold by most vendors here. BUT make sure the parts you buy from a vendor has the GM Restoration approval, many cheaper parts are sold. If you are going to spend your hard earned money on repo parts make sure you get the best.
