pitman arm

how do you take off the pitman arm does it just pop straight off with alittle persuasion or do you need a special tool?

You will need a puller, the splines are tapered, so when the nut is torqued down it locks it very tight.

You can pick a pitman arm puller up at any auto parts store. They are not to expensive.

I used a puller alright...looked like this...


I would recommend it their way though.
It's not the easiest way.
