Longer Throttle Cables?

I'm doing a cruise control swap on the 72 and ran into a snag, my throttle cable to the gas pedal isn't long enough! It worked fine before, but now it has to go around the cruise actuator and it won't reach. Check out pic#2 in this faq write up http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=151318 so you guys can see what i mean. Does anyone make a longer cable? would swapping to a big block or 4wd cable be any longer?

Re: Longer Throttle Cables?

yeah that might work, as long as it mounts to the carb the same way.

Re: Longer Throttle Cables?

you can always go with an aftermarket cable like one from Lokar.

They come in 24" or 36", pretty much trim to fit.

That's what I was going to recommend. Lokar's stuff is superb quality - I don't see how you would be disappointed.
