Re: 1972 top questions

Do you know what brand the top is? There is probably either a tag or stamp someplace toward the rear of the softtop.

As of right now, there is only one manufacture of tops - bestop. In recent years, there was a company called Specialty Top Co that made most of what you see on the first gen Blazers. They started manufacturing tops for first gen Blazers after purchasing Kayline and using their patterns initially. When the Blazers were new, or fairly new, there apparently were other manufactures and possibly some OEM.

Most likely, you are in for an uphill battle trying to get that top on your rig without all the hardware. Making the hardware may cost more than buying a new top. I have a PDF copy of the STC install intructions which may help you determine what all is missing and may help you figure out if the top is correct for your truck. PM me your email address and I'll send it to you.
