Planning exhuast for Lil' Red

QTP Goodies just arrived via the big brown truck...it's time to schedule Lil' Red a date with the exhaust shop. I went with 2.5" 409 SS tubing and QTP 2.5" cut-outs and electric do dad goodies thru a Bassani X piece and back. 18" Magnaflow slash tips will exit in front of the rear tires. Another piece to the puzzle!

Re: Planning exhuast for Lil' Red

Will do! I got my SS cutouts and QTP parts off of Ebay. But after doing more research I found I could have saved 50 bucks had I ordered them from Summit. I will get numbers for you later today or tonight.

Re: Planning exhuast for Lil' Red

great lookin' parts there.

what made you go with 2.5" instead of 3"? I will be doing my exhaust in the next month, but fortunately for me, i have access to a bender, and a guy who has done custom exhaust work for the past 20 years. I had planned to go with 3" duals with an X pipe and cut outs. however, in the past couple days, i've seen a few posts where people went with 2.5", not 3".

thoughts?

That's a sweet looking x-pipe! Bet that will be quite the attention getter when you hit the switch and open those cutouts!

I read and read and read....Most of what I was reading advised 2.5" with a small block chevy. I'm going with the experts!

You don't screw around now, do you Alex!! That's gonna be awesome! I don't see any muffs there, what are you going to run for those?

And please refresh my memory, what all have you done to the engine?

Re: Planning exhuast for Lil' Red

No ...not trying to mess around, trying to get it done! Glock the engine was just rebuilt when I bought it 4 years ago, by the PO's machine shop in Colorado Springs. I drove it and it definetly gets up and goes. He told me it was built to a streetable 350 hp, that works for me.

Muff's are dynomax super turbos.
