torque wrench ?

So my nieghbour is a good guy but has garage tactics are well not sure.

My ? is if you need 90 lbs of torque on the wrench, can you put the compresser on 90 psi and save the money on a wrench.....? lol

with the torque gun and socket bit on there of course.

This is all to tighten a bolt 90 lbs

Hmm never heard that before and doesn't sound like a good idea. Spend a little money and get a nice low level torque wrench.

Shout I went to a Whole Sale tool place and bought a Cal-Hawk 1/2 Torque wrench for pretty cheap. I have used it for a couple years. The other day a guy had a torque tool in the shop to check his torque wrench and mine was only off a couple foot lbs. I was pretty impressed with it. And it is well worth the money to know that the torque is correct.

I would suggest a 3/8 for most things. I use the 1/2 for wheels and suspension stuff.

i guess you could lift a 90 lb weight and put that same amount of pull on a 6" pull handle and that would work. yea that would be the same ha ha ha

But then you'd only have 45 lbs of torque.

No its not on the tourque wrench its 90 ft pounds and the compressor its 90 pounds per square inch. at 90 psi most impact guns put out about 300ft pounds.
