Back to the Island

Exams are over and I get to go home for a few days sunday until wednesday, yup gonna drive the ol truck 2 1/2 hours from clemson to beech island SC. As long as the 3 speed doesnt give out or anything else, I will be happy. The trucks been running well for the past week, so take: tools, water, oil and junk yard shopping list. Monday and Tuesday I am going to the U-pull It junkyards to scope out the trucks and such. I have a list of things to do when I get home, gotta pick up a rear sway bar from my brothers 79 camaro, at least I think thats what its from, and see if I can get it to work. Make some lowering blocks for the rear, rebuild tranny, clean up engine bay a little, nothing much just some cleaning and rattle cans. If I get to it I want to work on the other toy I have back home, 77 scout terra. Its gonna be a busy extended weekend. Try to fit some fishin in somewhere.

Re: Back to the Island

Ok just got back to clemson from beech island, truck ran well all the way, I was going about 60 most of the time. Found another 3 speed at the u pull it for $60, before I bought it, I opened up the case, and it looked new inside, no metal shavings no worn anything, and new oil, score!

Put a rear swaybar on this morning, dont know what its from, but i got it mounted pretty well, tell me if I need to change anything. just drilled some holes in the trailing arms, used some holes that were already on the frame to mount it. It rode well for the ride back up here.

Got home, and looked in the garage to see the gocycle, neighbor had brought it over for us to get it running. I didnt work on it much, busy working on my own projects, we had it running pretty quick, and brother was working on it when I left.

Made a driveshaft work for the terra
