dash question

Has anyone on here put a late model dash in our trucks? i am looking into doing this and would like a how to or pictures or something. Anything would be appreciated, I have seen only 1 pic and it loooked real good just wanting 2 know more

I know I've seen a 95-99 dash installed in a 73-87, but it took a lot of work. My only concern would be the later model instrument clusters are all electronic, getting most of the information from the engine's PCM. Retrofitting the computer controlled cluster in a stock powertrain 73-87 would require more effort than the cluster is worth IMO.

One might be better off retrofitting aftermarket gauges for the cost.

Here's a real hack job of a new silverado cluster in a 73-87 crew cab. He must have needed the cluster due to the Duramax diesel he installed into it.
