Install for sport mirrors

my truck had the gigantic below eyeline mirrors and didn't quite fit the theme of my truck, so i ditched them and bought sport mirrors. can anyone tell me how far back and how centered the bolts should be for me to drill them in the right spot? i appreciate it.

Re: Install for sport mirrors

Did you purchase GM or reproduction mirrors?

Just curious as TexasC10 and myself have both installed reproduction sport mirrors and have both found that the passenger side mirror will not adjust into place so it can be seen.

I have installed mine according to the instructions with the right side further back. I would suggest figuring out where they should go, then have someone hold the mirror and see if you can adjust the right side one before drilling holes.

Re: Install for sport mirrors

I bought mine from the local GM dealer and love them. Mine adjusted fine, but the bottom corner of the right mirror is close to the base.
